Bafang M620 - AM1000 V5/ AM1000 V6/ CC/ CC FAT/ BEAST/ EX/ HUNTER/ FF1/ HT1000

The Bafang M620, also known as G510 & Ultra, is a high-power, large-capacity mid-drive motor introduced by Bafang in 2018. Since then, it has undergone multiple updates and improvements to its controller and transmission system. Many manufacturers of electric bikes (including our Frey bike models) choose to use it as the Bafang eMTB drive system, not only because of its outstanding performance in mountain bike riding but also because Bafang offers customizable options to meet the demand of mountain bike riders for more power.

Bafang M510 - Frey Evolve

The Bafang M510 is a new mid-drive motor introduced in 2022, designed primarily for light eMTB riding. The motor housing is made of magnesium alloy, which aids in heat dissipation. It features nylon gears, making the motor lighter overall. With a high-precision torque sensor, it precisely outputs assistance based on the rider's pedal cadence and force. Bafang has also adjusted the startup characteristics to be smoother and more controllable, allowing riders to easily adapt to the e-bike's assistance when starting.
